The system’s operation is easy and intuitive, with prompts to guide the user through the procedure : 

• The operator enters test information such as description of material, ambient conditions, number of samples, airflow rates per sample, etc.

• The system controls the mass airflow rate and measures the differential pressure across the specimen.  

• For each specimen, the airflow resistance in ohms, the specific airflow resistance in rayls, and the airflow resistivity in rayls/m are reported.  

• A report is printed automatically and the test data is stored in a flat text file which can easily be imported into a database program.
